Laura Geller Beauty

As we get older — or shall I say, more refined — our skin changes. Mine certainly has. Where I once reached for full-coverage, ultra-matte foundation, I now crave hydration, radiance, and that effortless “your skin but better” finish. The goal is no longer to mask — it’s to enhance.

Over the past few months, I’ve been reaching for several products from Laura Geller Beauty that have truly delivered on that natural, luminous look without sacrificing performance. Even better? My makeup seems to look more seamless as the day goes on.

Here’s what I’ve been loving.

This has been such a refreshing change from traditional foundation. It offers sheer-to-light coverage with a soft satin finish that never looks heavy or dry. It evens out redness and mild discoloration while still allowing my natural skin to show through — something I’ve grown to appreciate more with time.

The addition of Hyaluronic Acid makes a noticeable difference in how comfortable it feels throughout the day. No tightness. No settling. Just breathable hydration.

For areas that need a bit more coverage, this lightweight medium-coverage concealer does the job beautifully. It’s enriched with line-smoothing Paracress and Vitamin E, which makes it ideal for under the eyes. The precision sponge applicator allows for controlled placement — I use just a small amount and blend with a brush or damp sponge. The finish is natural, not cakey.

As much as I love glow, balance is still important. This universal translucent powder helps absorb excess oil while softly diffusing the appearance of fine lines and pores. I apply it sparingly — mostly in the T-zone — to maintain radiance while preventing unwanted shine.

The key is light application. Less is more.

If you love simplicity, this palette is a dream. It includes:

A blush

A bronzer

Three eyeshadows

Two baked highlighters

The marbleized baked pigments blend seamlessly and make shade matching effortless. The highlighters, in particular, give that soft glow-from-within finish rather than a glittery sheen — perfect for more mature skin. It’s one of those products that makes getting ready feel easy.

Waterproof formulas are essential for longevity, and this gel liner delivers. It glides on smoothly without tugging and stays put throughout the day. The built-in sharpener is a thoughtful touch for precise application.

This mascara lifts, grips, and lengthens lashes beautifully without clumping. The molded brush separates and defines while nourishing lashes at the same time. I love that it enhances without looking heavy.

A long-lasting, smudge-proof matte liner with a slanted tip for clean definition. It prevents feathering and creates a polished lip shape.

This hybrid between a lipstick and balm has become a favorite. It delivers soft, shiny color while keeping lips hydrated thanks to Squalane and Vitamin E. Comfortable. Polished. Effortless.

Final Thoughts

The biggest shift in my makeup routine hasn’t just been product choice — it’s mindset.

I’m no longer chasing matte perfection. I’m embracing hydration, radiance, and natural texture. I want makeup that enhances rather than masks. And right now, this Laura Geller routine gives me exactly that. If you’re over 40 and noticing changes in your skin, consider leaning into hydration and softness. You may find that less truly is more.

You know ya girls always on the hunt for the perfect foundation, right?!?! Well, the Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation and Correcting Concealer might just be it! Let's break it down:

Packaging/Application:

The foundation bottle looks sleek and comes with a nice pump. You get the standard 1.0 oz of product for $39.00. The concealer has an interesting wave applicator. On one side, the tip is flat and on the other side, the tip has a curve that hugs your under eye area perfectly! You get a total of 0.35 oz of product for $29.00. Both products are housed in plastic containers with a gold cap.

Formula:

The foundation and concealer both are cruelty-free, vegan, waterproof and dry to a matte finish. While the concealer is extremely full coverage, the foundation can be built to a nice medium coverage without looking heavy on the skin. I don't really find the need to powder this foundation but I do set my under eyes with the tiniest bit of loose powder.

With 50 foundation shades and 25 concealer shades to choose from, there's definitely a shade for everyone!

Longevity:

While I can't vouch for the 24 hour wear time, I can say both the foundation and concealer withstood this crazy triple digit Texas heat without melting or transferring! And surprisingly, both the foundation and concealer looked better as the day progressed.

Overall:

I really love this foundation and concealer and think it's worth a try if you have combo or oily skin! If you lean more towards dry skin, I wouldn't recommend this specific formula. I noticed it did cling to a few dry patches/texture I had on my chin. Overall, Urban Decay gets an A+! Have y'all tried this foundation and concealer yet? Would love to hear your thoughts! Available at Urban Decay, Ulta, Sephora and Nordstrom.
